Seismic Bracing Kits
Seismic Kits are made to order for each project location and are proven to drastically reduce installation labor.
ISAT Seismic Bracing Kits and Drawings
Building Code Compliance for All Nonstructural Distributed Utility Systems
ISAT’s made to order seismic bracing kits are one of the best ways for contractors and subcontractors to streamline the installation of seismically restrained suspended utilities. Included in each of these seismic kits are the necessary components (excluding strut) to install either rigid or cable brace assemblies on all MEP trades. These kits are pre-packaged in orange buckets and bags labeled by floor, area, and trade. Each bucket or bag is clearly tagged with an ISAT kit identification which correlates to an exact location on the seismic submittal plan set.
Each kit’s identification is highlighted on the plan set and sent to the field for ease of installation and inspection. These easy to use kits and drawings are specifically designed in a way that even an apprentice can pick up a bucket and install the brace arms on any facility.
Seismic Bracing Kits Include
- Detailed Installation Instructions
- All Rigid Seismic Brackets (Retrofitable)
- Pre-Assembled Cable Brace Arms Fully Field Adjustable & Retrofitable
- Rod Stiffener Bolts/Clips
- Concrete Anchors

Our Process Makes Seismic Bracing As Easy As 1-2-3
Step 1 – Coordinate and Communicate with the Client
Upon review of the project specific seismic requirements ISAT meets with the client to discuss jobsite congestion, labor considerations, project sequencing, and building load limitations. Upon agreement with the client, ISAT proceeds to design and detail seismic layout drawings in either 2D CAD, within a comprehensive 3D model, or on the contractor’s shop drawings. Careful consideration is given to ease off installation to reduce jobsite labor.
Step 2 – Seismic Layout Drawings with the Client
Detailed seismic layouts are performed on the project drawings locating the minimum amount of bracing to meet local code specifications. ISAT takes into account the contractor’s installation preferences. All locations correspond to the planset legends spell out all necessary information needed for contractor installation inspection and engineering review. Installation options for changes in field conditions are built into the submittal and are referenced on the layout drawings. Drawings are stamped by an ISAT Structural Engineer.
Step 3 – Pre-assembled Seismic Kits Delivered to the Job site
All seismic bracing kits are delivered to the jobsite in each project location and contain all necessary components and installation instructions. Manufactured assemblies drastically reduce field labor and installation time.
