Seismic Bracing Components: Fit the BC-5 over the beam’s flange (up to 1-1/8” thick) and adjust width, then tighten the case-hardened set screws.


Seismic Applications – Tested and Qualified to the FM1950 Test Standard
Rigid or cable brace arms attached to bottom or top flange of beam.

• 2,635 lb Capacity (load is applied perpendicular to beam)
• 2,430 lb Capacity (load is applied at 45-degree angle to beam)
• 2,225 lb Capacity (load is applied at any angle to beam)

Vertical Applications – FM Qualified

• 1,585 lb Vertical Capacity (edge of flange connection)

For additional design and installation flexibility, the BC-5 can be coupled with strut channel in a variety of vertical support configurations.
