ISAT Engineering and Modeling (VDC): Streamlining Project Execution:
Our approach to project execution is built on collaboration, optimization, and innovation. Once engaged, we assemble a dedicated project team to work closely with our client, keeping the constructability plan in mind. The goal is to implement a holistic engineering approach that includes pipe stress analysis, support design and a VDC strategy that seamlessly aligns with project requirements, client objectives, and defined construction methodologies. Working closely with both design and construction teams from the start is key to our approach, this collaboration helps us identify chances for offsite manufacturing, more efficient onsite work, safer practices, and lean methods. These strategies are crucial for reducing costs and increasing safety.
During the modeling process, ISAT provides the SEOR with precise locations where supports and brace arms intersect the deck, enabling overhead substrate suitability checks. We also incorporate GPS points for any supports/brace arms into the model. Our VDC team skillfully integrates engineering designs to meet any LOD project requirements. We leverage our extensive content library, industry-standard platforms, and custom APIs for effective model population and coordination. Collaborating closely with the client’s project team, our VDC lead ensures thorough coordination of all VDC tasks until the model is approved for fabrication.

Once the model is Issued for Fabrication (IFF), support and product information are extracted from the model and prepared for release. Our engineering team utilizes ISAT’s comprehensive library of pre-designed MEPF support options whenever possible. These value-engineered solutions address forces due to thermal stresses, seismic loads, gravity, pressure, wind, building drift, even transient loads.
