ISAT Base Isolation

Vibration isolation pads are designed to reduce the transmission of vibration and noise from mechanical equipment located on grade-supported structural slabs.


Model CIB – Inertia Base Frames

Application:

Model CIB inertia bases are used to support mechanical equipment, reduce equipment vibration, provide for attachment of vibration isolators, prevent differential movement between driving and driven members, reduce rocking by lowering equipment center of gravity, reduce motion of equipment during start-up and shut-down, act to reduce reaction movement due to operating loads on equipment, and act as a noise barrier.

Typical uses for inertia base frames, with poured concrete and supported by noise and vibration isolators, include use with open-type centrifugal chillers, reciprocating air and refrigeration compressors, chillers, and heat pumps, close-coupled and base-mounted pumps, centrifugal fans, internal combustion engines, and similar types of equipment.

Model SFB – Structural Frame Bases

Application:

Model SFB Structural Frame Bases are specifically designed and engineered to support mechanical equipment requiring a supplemental mounting frame. Structural frame bases are used to support mechanical equipment and provide rigid platforms for attachment of vibration isolators, without allowing excessive differential movement between driving and driven members. The bases provide a means by which the equipment can be stabilized and motion reduced by lowering the equipment center of gravity.

Typical uses include support and isolation of reciprocating chillers, close coupled pumps, vent sets, packaged air handling units, centrifugal fans, evaporative condensers, and similar types of equipment.

Model SBB – Structural Steel Beam Base

Application:

Model SBB steel beam bases are specifically designed and engineered to support mechanical equipment requiring a supplemental mounting beam system. While also having integral frame stiffness between driving and driven members, when the supplemental beam base is to be supported by Kinetics vibration isolators as part of the noise and vibration isolation of the equipment.

Steel beam bases used to support mechanical equipment provide a means of attaching supporting isolators while maintaining a rigid supporting surface for the isolated equipment. And, can provide a means by which equipment can be stabilized and motion reduced by lowering the equipment center of gravity.

Typical use Model SBB steel beam bases, supported by Kinetics noise and vibration isolators, includes support and isolation of absorption chillers, hermetic centrifugal chillers, package boilers, cooling towers, and similar types of equipment.

Model – QuietRail Base

Application:

QuietRail is designed to provide a wind and seismic-rated vibration isolation frame without the need for additional equipment support steel. The frames provide a means by which the equipment can be stabilized and motion reduced by lowering the equipment center of gravity.
